End of Year RPCV Meeting 2008

November 21, 2008

We will elect officers, set the 2008 calendar and discuss projects to work on, projects to support and fundraising. Your attendance is helpful towards keeping the cause of the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of West Michigan alive.

See you there.

601 Kent Hills Rd NE, GR

5:30 – 8:00pm

Personal hygiene items, new underwear and similar items for men and women will be collected to distribute locally.

Bring a dish to pass. This is an opportunity to prepare something traditional or festive or a favorite to share. We will do our International Dinner early in 2009.

There will be some beverages available (you can bring something, too, of course).

We will plan the 2008 calendar. This is our once a year business meeting. Fundraising will be a special topic as well as getting people connected.

This is an important meeting. I hope you can attend. All Returned Peace Corps Volunteers in the greater West Michigan area are welcome.

Summer “Get Together”

July 20, 2008
Saturday, August 9, Grill and Pool at the Pohlad’s
This is a reminder of an informal “get together” on Saturday, August 9, 1pm at Greg and Lisa Pohlad’s house. (See the directions below.)
Greg will have a grill ready and some hamburgers to put on it, or bring your own to grill and maybe a dish or dessert to share.
Bring your swimsuit if you want to get in their pool. This is a great time to get caught up, chat and have a “cold one” with the group. Returned PCV’s in the area are very welcome.

The next formal time we meet will be the first Saturday (12/6) in December at the Coleman’s house for our annual evening meeting. We may also do a meal, or visit a restaurant in the fall. That is yet to be planned. (see our group’s listserv link on this page, to better stay connected.)

The Pohlads are at 1731 Eastbrook

May 3, ICCF Shed Painting

April 30, 2008

I just received confirmation of the location for our Saturday, May 3 workday. It will be at 547 Delaware SE from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. This will also be a painting project, but of a shed, this time.

Thanks to Ken for coordinating the event and the “debriefing” aftwards.
